-278-Class 502 DanielThe Trip to Taichung%u3000%u3000This winter vacation, I went to Taichung with my family. I woke up at seven o%u2019clock. I was very excited because I can visit my grandma and my cousins and we can play in my grandma%u2019s house. We were stuck in a traffic jam for almost an hour. Finally, we arrived at Taichung. It was a sunny day, just as a good start of my trip. %u3000%u3000We went to the Cheng Mei Cultural Park in Changhua. We saw a lot of trees such as black pine and Chinese juniper. These trees were planted to remind everyone to be a good son and never forget your origin. We also saw a building with a special word painted on it. This word reads %u201cKiang%u201d. It%u2019s made from four words %u201c %u5b54 (Kong)%u201d, %u201c %u5b5f(Meng)%u201d, %u201c %u597d (Hao)%u201d and %u201c %u5b57 (Zi)%u201d. This word reminds us to learn Confucius and Mencius. I took a lot of beautiful pictures with my family. After then, we were hungry so we went to eat Yakiniku. All the dishes were yummy and I enjoyed very much.%u3000%u3000This trip was fantastic! I hope I can have more fun trips with my family in the coming years!Class 502 Amber %u3000%u3000On the first day of the new year this year, our family stayed in a hotel. We stayed in the Lakeshore Hotel in Hsinchu. The hotel has entertainment facilities such as trampolines, slides, and ball pools.%u3000%u3000There was also an animal observation class in the evening. We observed bearded dragons, scorpions, ball pythons, skinks, meerkat and so on. I think meerkat is cute. The instructor introduced the ecology of animals that live in the desert. I learned a lot about the habits of desert animals.%u3000%u3000While heading to breakfast the next morning, the Lakeshore Hotel held a mascot meet and greet. There are also introductions to famous attractions and snacks in Hsinchu. And there are prizes. %u3000%u3000I had a great time staying at the Lakeshore Hotel this time.
